How To Form A SCNA Chapter
If you don't see a chapter that is a right fit for you it is possible to charter a brand new SCNA Chapter to match your needs. The Commission on SCNA Chapter is to assist in the formation of new chapter that meet the needs of the SCNA Members. Contact the SCNA Chapter Commission Chair to find out how to begin the process of forming a new chapter.
A Chapter can be a geographic area of South Carolina or a Chapter for a particular practice speacilty or peer group. The requirement to charter a chapter is a minimum of five (5) SCNA members who will act as the Executive Committee of the newly formed chapter. The required Executive Committee Officers are the following:
Chair
Vice-Chair
Sectretary/Treasurer
Two Members-At-Large
The Executive Committee Memebers must agree in writting to adopt the current SCNA Chapter Bylaws using the SCNA Chapter Bylaws Form. The following needs to be considered in the formation of a SCNA Chapter:
-The purpose of a chapter shall align with the purpose of the SCNA
-Evidence is to be submitted to the Board that a substantial number of members are interested in forming a chapter
-The chapter will be recommended by the Commission of Chapters of the SCNA Board
